Message Unlike the lucky majority that have a garage/workshop with stands and all the fun stuff my engine is stuck outside in the cold. It sits on a shipping pallet about 2' off the ground next to my apartment. No porch or decent overhang. Thats where it rest until its ready to go back in the shell. Mind you I keep it well covered first with plastic wrap and tape over the internals then a large shower curtain and last a tarp.
This afternoon before I got home there was a freak rainstorm which I thought nothing of because it rains all the time with no prob because my baby is wrapped up tight. Pulled in the yard to see my engine exposed to the elements. First thinking that some ass hole was poking around. Then I realized that all the wind must have gotten under the tarp (which is usually tucked and wrapped between the slots of the pallet). The engine was open to the rain and at this point I have valve covers and fuel rail off. The depressions in the center of each head where the spark plugs are (still installed) were filled with water. The plastic wrap that I had over the cam shafts was not properly covering in some areas due to the wind. I dried up what I could with a cloth as I cant break out the vacuum until tomorrow and blasted the entire thing with WD-40. Threw a large towel over it to absorb any water that might evaporate and they recovered tying it all down.

So what do you guys think my worst case scenario might be or should I say most likely scenario. And what should I do to help prevent any damage? Thanks
